Iron Golems and Snow Golems can be very handy when you play Minecraft. They will guard your home base from pesky mobs like zombies, spiders and skeletons. They will keep your village and villagers safe at night when mobs spawn. But the question is how do you get them? Do they randomly spawn? Do you build them?
Step 1: Gather the materials needed in order to build you golems
A Snow Golem is relatively cheap, you only need 2 snow blocks and a pumpkin. You can make a snow block by putting 4 snow balls in a square in a crafting table.

You will also need pumpkins. You can find pumpkins spawning randomly in your minecraft world. If you can't find any pumpkins just go into creative mode and get one by doing /gamemode 1.
An Iron Golem is a little bit more expensive because you need 4 iron blocks. 1 iron block is 9 iron ingots in a square in a crafting table.

Same with the snow golem, you will also need a pumpkin.
Step 2: Building Your Iron Golem/Snow Golem.
This step is pretty easy. First make sure you have the appropriate materials to build a golem in minecraft. 4 iron blocks and a pumpkin for an iron golem and 2 snow block and a pumpkin for a snow golem.
For an iron golem, put your iron block in a t-shape and place the pumpkin on top. Example:
For a snow golem just stack the 2 snow blocks in a vertical line and place the pumpkin on top. Example:
